The tanto sword, standing at around 30cm, or one Japanese Chaku, is the original Japanese knife. With time, the tanto has evolved dramatically, as it's now known for its ornamental nature as well as its usage in feudal times by Samurais and Ninja alike.
In Japan, the tanto has an extensive history which is tied to feudal times... In fact, the tanto sword is one of the weapons of choice for the Samurai, who usually paired it with a wazikashi or a katana. The Ninja also used the tanto sword extensively, as it was a weapon of choice of their surprise-based way of fighting.
